HS3 PROCESS

Every child learns that no two snowflakes are alike.  They share the same basic shape, but the intricacies, the details, make them infinitely unique.  This is the essence of HS3.  At HexagonEC we approach each project with passion, curiosity and a structured process for understanding every facet of the issue at hand, no matter how unique, no matter how complex.

Starting with a simple conversation we begin to set the context, understand the details of our clients business – the problems they face.  We then apply a proprietary process for dividing the problem into individual facets which can be focused upon and optimized.  Designed with flexibility in mind, HS3 is a process for exploring issues and delivering effective, innovative solutions.  Symmetry.  Balance.  Precision.  These ideas are at the heart of HS3, a process developed, tested and refined over 35 years of experience in marketing and business.

Based on the belief that each problem, each issue, each challenge can be both broken into integral elements and understood in the larger context of business, HS3 results in both a micro and macro view of the project.  Through rigorous application of experience, methodology, and precedent, HS3 results in a handful of solutions – each carefully compared to risk/reward models and presented to clients so they can select the decision they feel best addresses their needs.  With six repeatable stages, HS3 is a living process with consistent elements that can be applied to each client yet allows their unique problems to be highlighted and addressed.

Broken into six steps HS3 contains numerous sub-processes for guiding the development and delivery of unsurpassed solutions.  After Discovery, after truly understanding the issues faced by our clients, we move into Dichotomization where each element of the problem is identified and isolated.  We then spend time Investigating the causes of each element as well as possible solutions.  Applying the processes in this stage generates multiple solutions which then must be analyzed.  Once we have completed the Investigation stage, we move onto Development where the solutions are detailed including risk and return on marketing investment analysis.  After the Development stage we return to the client and work with them to Prioritize the possible solutions.  Once solutions have been prioritized we Execute and deliver solutions which have already been analyzed and simulated.  Part of the Execution stage is the delivery to the client, but more importantly, Execution includes follow-up with the client to understand both the short and long term effects, which then feed back into the Discovery stage.

HS3 is an intricate yet elegant process designed to ensure solutions delivered meet the expectations of the client but also offer insight into long term marketing impact.  Each stage is comprised of sub-processes, analysis, simulation and prototyping before possible solutions are proposed to the client.  Whether the project is an advertising campaign, a branding exercise, a product launch or a complete market planning initiative, the HS3 process can be applied successfully because it was designed to accommodate the unique aspects of individual businesses and scalable for application to projects large and small.
